Portland Waterfront

Portland Waterfront

The waterfront is one of my favorite areas in downtown Portland. It's 36.59 acres from Naito Pkwy between SW Harrison St & NW Glisan St. It's a beautiful walk, a lot of bicyclist and runners and awesome views of bridges all along the Willamette River

Voodoo Doughnut

Voodoo Doughnuts

The most popular doughnut shop in Portland! Lots of lines and lots of sugar :)

There are a couple locations the most popular one is downtown: Voodoo Doughnut map

We've been there quite a few times, we always take our visitors here and get my favorite: Maple Bacon Doughnut! It's super yummy. :)

Portlandia

Portlandia

Mario and I went downtown to go see the Portlandia Statue on 1120 SW 5th Avenue. The statue stands 34 feet, 10 inches tall!  It is the second largest copper statue in the US after the Statue of Liberty herself . Portlandia is based on a figure in Portland's city seal of a woman, dressed in classical clothes, who welcomes traders into the port of the city.

Moving to Portland

Hello hello! Welcome to our blog documenting our adventures in Portland Oregon and the surrounding areas. We left our home in Tucson Arizona September 9th 2012 and make the crazy trek across the desert into the Pacific Northwest in 3 crazy days filled with beef jerky and red bull and a very sleepy drugged kitty.

Our UHAUL towing Mario car

In total we drove 1,559 miles

Driving through Oregon for the first time

Took Lily out at one of the rest stops along the way
